Dear Lactation Consultants, Educators, Peer Counselors and Advocates-

Thank you for your commitment to the health of mothers and babies in your community. Milkies understands we all benefit when babies are breastfed- healthier children, more confident mothers and less packaging waste in the environment. We applaud you for what you do every day!

Please take the time to look over our website and blog. We would love to hear your feedback, promote your event or contribute a door prize or raffle item. Let us know if you teach a breastfeeding class, we would be happy to send you a Milk-Saver to display along with the other useful breastfeeding products.

The Milk-Saver has been on the market since 2008. It has been used successfully by thousands of mothers to collect and store hundreds of thousands of ounces of breast milk. Read the reviews from real users and LC’s to learn what moms are saying about Milkies. Moms will be asking about them (if they haven’t already) so be prepared.

Milkies in Print

The Milkies Milk-Saver was featured in the 2010 book Balancing the Breast and the Bottle, published by Hale and written by IBCLC’s to discuss strategies for continuing exclusive breastfeeding when mother cannot be with her infant. The Milk-Saver has been chosen by Pregnancy and Newborn (for 2 consecutive years!) for inclusion in their Buyer’s Guide, reserved for the most popular baby products of the previous year. Check out the “In the News” page of our website for more information.

The Milk-Saver collects milk from the non-nursing side during the breastfeeding session. We know a baby empties the breast more completely than a pump, and supports a strong supply. But for many mothers, pump use decreases the frequency of baby being put to the breast and some mothers become exclusive pumpers. Using the Milk-Saver incentivizes putting baby to the breast, milk is only collected while nursing. For some low-use moms, the Milk-Saver can replace her pump. If moms are pumping and using a Milk-Saver, she is maximizing milk collection and storage.

Most breastfeeding mothers have the perception of low milk supply. The Milk-Saver addresses this common problem-

  • Moms can visualize their milk and collection can begin the first day of white milk production
  • Breastfeeding behavior is started early and mothers have breast milk in the freezer for “just in case” instead of the formula can that begins the spiraling milk supply.
